Some call it the Great Resignation, others call it the Big Quit. Despite job growth and vaccine optimism in the United States, people are leaving the daily grind in exchange for more fulfilling career paths. In this illustration, I wanted to highlight how self-perception determines the paths we take. A barista stars into the mirror and sees a self-employed entrepreneur. Will she feel the risks of pursuing self-employment are greater than the security of a job in the restaurant business?
